Traditionally, all built-up letters have used neon lighting to illuminate both the internal (through the face) and external (behind + onto a surface) area of letters. This process was cumbersome, expensive to make and operate and also was very time consuming to install. New technologies such as waterproof LED's have allowed illuminated letters and signs to be produced at a more reasonable price in a quicker time and with less running costs. These LED's can also be used in many other areas of projects such as cornice lighting and wall washing. Colour changing LED's (RGB colours) can constantly alternate between colours and have a very long lifespan, making them particularly suitable for difficult to reach areas.
Despite the great properties attributable to the new technology, there will probably always be a market for Neon lighting and we are in a position to source either type of lighting if required.
